Students and
adults with respiratory diseases, such as asthma and heart disease, should
not participate in any activity that would cause high levels of exertion.
All other students and adults should limit outdoor activities. |

adults with history of extremely sensitive respiratory diseases, such as
asthma, should consider limiting prolonged outdoor exertion. |

Information:
- To identify all asthma students and other students that air quality may affect,
please refer to the school nurse/confidential health list.
- Each day the Fresno Bee publishes the previous day's air quality measurement
and the present day forecasted air quality. This information is included on the
Weather Report page (Local/State Section).

- It is suggested that during hot weather, the instructors should schedule activities
in the morning.
- During cold weather, early morning hours are the high-risk times for students with
respiratory illnesses/diseases. It is suggested that during cold weather, instructors
should schedule activities during the afternoon.
