Book: Chapter 4
INTERACTIVE
GAMES
4.01 Graphing
Inequalities
Objective: To determine if a number
is a solution to an inequality and to graph inequalities on the
number line
Narration: Graphs of inequalities on
number lines involve shading. For ≤ or ≥, the point is solid,
and for < or >, and open circle surrounds the point, in a sense
“protecting” the point from being shaded.

4.02 Solving
Inequalities
Objective: To solve inequalities
involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Narration: Solve inequalities as if
it were equations. Remember to reverse the inequality symbol

4.03 Soda Machine
Objective: To solve word problems
using inequalities
As Mr. Nishibayashi prepared to restock the
soda machine, he noticed there were already 20 cans of soda in
the machine. If the soda machine can hold a maximum of 140 cans
of soda, how many six-packs can he load in the machine?
Create an inequality and solve.
Assignment: Email your answer to
your teacher.
4.04 SET
Objective: To develop reasoning
skills
Narration: The more frequently you
play this game, the faster you will develop your mathematical
reasoning skills!
Assignment: Continue to play the
game of SET at least twice per week. Continue to record your
time on your Excel spreadsheet and email it to your teacher each
week.
4.05 Self Test
Objective: For you to complete the self
test with a perfect score.
Complete the self test which is a review of
the concepts you learned in this lesson before you take the
Module Test.
