9.01 Absolute Value Equations

Objective: To solve equations involving absolute value.

Narration:  To solve equations with absolute value, first isolate the absolute value symbol.  Next, create two equations; one equal to the positive and the other equal to the negative.

Algebra Notes - http://www.algebranotes.com/ - Lesson 6-6

Assignment: Page #412 : #1 – 6, 22 – 28

9.02 Absolute Value Inequalities

Objective: To solve and graph inequalities involving absolute value.

Narration: Inequalities with absolute value will involve writing inequality as well as graphing the solution on a number line.

Algebra Notes - http://www.algebranotes.com/ - Lesson 6-4, 6-5, 6-6

Assignment: Page 415 : #5 – 15

9.03 Graphing Inequalities

Objective: To graph inequalities in two variables

Narration: When graphing on the coordinate plane, first determine if the line will be solid of dashed, and then determine which side of the line will be shaded.

Algebra Notes - http://www.algebranotes.com/ - Lesson 6-8

Assignment: Page 419 : #1 - 18

9.04 Graphing Systems of Inequalities

Objective: To graph systems of inequalities in two variables.

Narration: Graph as if it were a system of inequalities, however you must determine if the lines should be solid or dashed, and then determine which of the four regions should be shaded.

Algebra Notes - http://www.algebranotes.com/ - Lesson 7-6

Assignment: Page 423 : 1 – 10

9.05 SET

Objective: To develop reasoning skills

Narration: The more frequently you play this game, the faster you will develop your mathematical reasoning skills!

Assignment: Continue to play the game of SET at least twice per week.  Continue to record your time on your Excel spreadsheet and email it to your teacher each week.

9.06  Self Test

Objective:  For you to complete the self test with a perfect score.

Narration:  Complete the self test which is a review of the concepts you learned in this lesson before you take the Module Test.
