Wellness Policy
The Campus Catering Department participates in the School Wellness Policy. We encourage students to make healthful food choices and provide nutrition instruction integrated with the comprehensive school health education curriculum. We have held walk to school events in prior years.
Student Participation in Testing of New Food Products
Every Spring the Campus Catering Department conducts a student survey of menu items with the 5th and 8th grade students.
Taste testing of new food products is conducted periodically throughout the school year..
National School Lunch & Breakfast Week
We celebrate National School Lunch Week in October and National School Breakfast Week in March. In years past, we have had visits from Dole's Bobby Banana and the California Dancing Raisins. Students are instructed in nutrition and we encourage physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
Food safety is a high priority for Campus Catering. All Campus Catering Cafeteria Supervisors & Specialists are certified Food Safety Managers. We have a HACCP plan in place and conduct internal audits to check for compliance to Federal Food Code and local Health Department standards. |
