Clovis Unified Headlines Clovis East High named 2008 National Blue Ribbon School Sept. 9 the U.S. Department of Education unveiled the winners of the 2008 NCLB National Blue Ribbon School award, and one school in Fresno County was on the list: Clovis East High School. Clovis East joins only 319 other schools in the nation named Blue Ribbon schools. Click here for more information. 2008 State Test results show Clovis Unified students continue to grow California’s release of the 2008 Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) Program August 14, and Academic Performance Index (API) numbers on Sept. 4, brought good news to Clovis Unified, where again student performance increased in English Language Arts (ELA), math and science. In addition to the continued growth, student performance in Clovis Unified outpaced Fresno County and California averages by 18 to 28 percent; with the District's API score of 841 outpacing California's score by 99 points. Buses to Ashlan-Shields area will end when walk paths complete The City of Clovis has nearly completed the construction of adequate walk paths along Ashlan Avenue. This includes the area south of Ashlan Avenue and north of Shields Avenue, east of Sunnyside Avenue to Fowler Avenue, but within the walk-in radius for Reyburn Intermediate and Clovis East High.
