22 schools earn place on California’s Honor Roll
Twenty-two (22) Clovis Unified schools have earned a place on the 2015 California Honor Roll for high performing schools. The annual Honor Roll is part of a nationwide effort to recognize schools leading the way in helping students to achieve at the highest levels. The large number of its schools on the prestigious list also projected Clovis Unified onto California’s short list of thirteen districts recognized as Honor Roll School Districts.
The 2015 Honor Roll, recognizes public elementary, middle, and high schools that demonstrate consistently high levels of student academic achievement, improvement in achievement over time, and reduction in achievement gaps. For high schools, Honor Roll recognition includes high college readiness in students. Schools named to the list include:
Alta Sierra Intermediate, Clark Intermediate, Clovis East High, Clovis Elementary, Clovis High, Cole Elementary, Cox Elementary, Fancher Creek Elementary, Gettysburg Elementary, Granite Ridge Intermediate, James S. Fugman Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Kastner Intermediate, Lincoln Elementary, Miramonte Elementary, Mountain View Elementary, Pinedale Elementary, Reyburn Intermediate, Riverview Elementary, Roger S. Oraze Elementary, Sierra Vista Elementary and Tarpey Elementary.
Educational Results Partnership (ERP) and the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE) sponsor the annual evaluation of schools resulting in the Honor Roll designation.
