Virginia Boris, Ed.D.
Associate Superintendent - Curriculum Services & Innovations
Completing her undergraduate work at the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Boris holds a Masters Degree in Curriculum and a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. During her 35-year career in public education, Dr. Boris has served as a high school mathematics instructor, Mathematics Department Chairperson, high school learning director, intermediate school principal, and area superintendent. She teaches classes at California State University, Fresno, and is actively involved with the California Curriculum Management Audit and ASCA.
Dr. Boris has conducted extensive studies on curriculum alignment having focused her doctoral work on the subject. She has been a Curriculum Management Auditor since April, 1993, and has served on curriculum audits across America. Recently, Dr. Boris has been involved in helping classroom teachers and school site administrators understand how to integrate the California State Content Standards with powerful instructional practice.
