Janet Young has spent the past 28 years serving students in the Clovis Unified School District. In 1979 Dr. Young joined Clovis Unified as an elementary teacher at Nelson Elementary School, where she taught for seven years. Since then she has served as a resource teacher, learning director, Principal at Fort Washington Elementary, Director of School and Community Relations, Director of Human Resources, and Assistant Superintendent before assuming her current role in 2001. She holds an undergraduate degree and masters degree from California State University, Fresno and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of LaVerne’s School of Organizational Management.
