Summer School

Clovis Unified will again this year offer summer sessions for students.  High school summer school will run from June 13 to July 28 (Monday – Thursday) with no classes held July 4.  Elementary and intermediate classes will run June 20 through July 21 with no classes held the week of July 4.  The plan approved by the Board continues a structure first used last year that includes an increased number of independent study courses for students, the consolidation of high school summer school to a single site at Clovis High School, offering elementary summer school (K-8) at Fancher Creek, Tarpey, Jefferson, Sierra Vista and Pinedale, and a continuation of extended year services for special education students. 

While many CUSD high school students interested in taking summer school courses will be directed into independent study classes, a limited number of on-site classes will be available for students identified as most in need of targeted academic intervention.  Questions about 2011 Summer School can be directed to the Curriculum Services office at 559-327-9350.
