2021/2022 Registration



Please read through ALL of the steps below before beginning the registration process.  At any time you require assistance please call the Preschool office at 559.327.9180.

All packet pick-up appointments will take place at the Child Development office at 1735 David E Cook Way, Clovis 93611.

CSPP STEP 1: Age Qualification

DOES MY CHILD MEET THE AGE QUALIFICATION? 
For the 2021-2022 school year, first make sure that:
Your child is 4 years old ON or BEFORE December 1, 2021
•  Your child is 5 years old ON or AFTER December 3, 2021

PP STEP 1: Age Qualification

DOES MY CHILD MEET THE AGE QUALIFICATION? 
For the 2021-2022 school year, first make sure that:
Your child is 4 years old ON or BEFORE December 1, 2021
• Transitional Kindergarten (turning 5 between September 2, 2021 & December 2, 2021) and Kindergarten (turning 5 by September 1, 2021) aged eligible may opt to attend Private Pay Preschool.

CSPP STEP 2: Eligibility

IS MY CHILD ELIGIBLE FOR A CA STATE PRESCHOOL?
Clovis Unified Preschool offers CA State Preschool Programs (CSPP), which are provided at no-cost to eligible families.  
 
CA STATE PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS (CSPP) (no cost)
 Eligibility for CSPP is based on the documentation and verification of ONE of the following:
  • At-risk of abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation
  • Child Protective Services (CPS)
  • Homelessness
  • Current CalWORKS cash aid recipient
  • Income Eligible (Click HERE to see the current guidelines)
  • Children with exceptional needs
  • Reside within the attendance boundary of: Pinedale, Sierra Vista, Miramonte, Tarpey or Temperance-Kutner

NOTE:  A physical and TB risk assessment is not required at the time of registration.  If your doctor does not have a standard form they use, here is a Physicians Report Form you may print and take to your doctor.

PP STEP 2: Eligibility & Fees

IS MY CHILD ELIGIBLE FOR CUSD PRIVATE PAY PRESCHOOL?
All children meeting the age qualifications are eligible for Private Pay (fee-based) Preschool.
 
CUSD PRIVATE PAY PRESCHOOL FEES
  • $35 per day (Click HERE for Monthly Tuition Breakdown)
  • A one-time registration fee of $30 (single child) or $40 (family) will be applied to your first bill.
  • Payment is due the 1st of each month.  A monthly statement containing the amount due is delivered prior to the 1st of each month.
  • If monthly payment is not received by the 10th of the month a late payment fee of $15 will be applied to your account.
  • If 30 days lapse without payment in full, termination of services may occur.

Students may attend an CSPP Preschool program. Families do not need to live within the CUSD boundaries. Parents must provide transportation. You may choose any school site and an AM or PM program. Students may attend either Private Pay Program. Families do not need to live within the CUSD boundaries. Parents must provide transportation. The earlier you register, the more likely you will get your first choice of school site/program.

CSPP & PP STEP 4: ONLINE REGISTRATION

Now that you have determined if you will be registering for a CSPP Preschool Program or a Private Pay Program, you are ready to register online. We recommend completing the application on a computer/laptop and NOT a smart phone. You will fill out the application, upload required documents (if able) and make an appointment to pick up your packet. Once you have picked up your packet, you will complete and sign all packet documents and return your completed packet along with copies (if you did not upload with your online application) of all required documentation to the Child Development office. Be sure to refer to your checklist for a list of required documents.
