Meals for Online Students

Meals for Students on Campus

No-cost grab-and-go meals will be available for students who return to campus for in-person instruction. Each grab-and-go bag will contain breakfast and lunch, and meals will be distributed as students leave campus for the day. Because schools using a hybrid a.m./p.m. schedule will not have a lunch period, these meals are not intended for on-site consumption. Most entrees will be cold and can be heated at home.

The following on-site lunch practices will be followed for those students who are on campus for a full day and have a lunch period. Students may also bring their own meals to school.
  • Staggered lunch times (elementary) or an increased number of lunch periods (secondary) to spread out students
  • Designated lunch areas outside
  • Designated lunch areas in assigned classrooms or cafeteria during inclement weather
  • Social distancing to the extent possible
  • Hand sanitizer for student use before and after lunch

Cafeteria Practices

Cafeteria cleaning procedures will follow the enhanced cleaning protocols outlined in the Campus Safety section. In addition, if/when students eat in the cafeteria, surfaces will be cleaned in between each lunch period. Hand sanitizer will be available to students before and after lunch, and time will be built into the school day for hand washing and sanitizing. Campus Catering staff will wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and will maintain social distancing during food preparation and distribution.

No-Cost Meals Applications

While the USDA recently extended no-cost meals through June 30, 2021 to all children, it is important families who are eligible still apply as this will affect future funding for students and also no-cost meals for 2021. Applications can be accessed and submitted at
