Would you like to know more about professional growth opportunities within Clovis Unified? Join us for the 2018 Classified Career Workshop.

This great afternoon of workshops will give you a vast overview of information that includes tools to explore career advancement within CUSD. In addition to gathering tips and tricks on interviewing, resumes, technology and information on both certificated and classified career paths, there will be an opportunity for you to speak directly to many CUSD Departments about current openings, positions and advancement opportunities that may fit your skill set and interest. These departments include Technology, Business Services, Transportation, Child Development, Human Resources, and Campus Catering just to name a few. Several college campus representatives will also be available to provide you with information on classes and programs they offer that can help you reach career goals.

First Session
12:00pm – 12:45pm First Class
12:45pm – 1:30pm Vendor/Department Fair
1:30pm – 2:15pm Second Class

Second Session
3:00pm – 3:45pm Third Class
3:45pm – 4:15pm Vendor/Department Fair
4:15pm – 5:00pm – Fourth Class

*Resume writing will be in the CCDS LMC for the 12:00 class and the 1:30 class.
*Resume writing will be at the Clovis Adult School (room TBD) for the 3:00 class and the 4:15 class.

CUSD Need-to-Know Tech – Technology Computer Lab

Be in the “know” with what programs CUSD employees should understand, and find out what useful information is available to you on the CUSD website.

Interview Strategies – PDB Room 3

Debbie Haro will conduct a class that will concentrate on interview preparation and strategies. This will include tips on how to research a position, preparing to answer interview questions with your skills and experience, and actual mock interviews to highlight do’s and don’ts.

Resume Writing*

If you are looking for a professional opinion on your current resume, this class if for you. Karri Nevills from the Clovis Unified Adult School will not only critique and offer suggestions to a selection of resumes submitted but she will also give you tips and tools you need to secure an interview.

Classified Career Pathways – Technology 2nd Floor Conference Room

Come and learn about the various classified career pathways available in Clovis Unified.  We will review some of the resources available to classified employees to prepare for moving up the career ladder.  Come and listen to our panel of classified employees tell their story about how they have moved up in their careers with Clovis Unified. 

Certificated Career Pathways – Technology 2nd Floor Conference Room

This class will answer your questions about what path you would take to become a Certificated Teacher. What is our interview process and what steps do you need to take.
