Dear Clovis Unified families,
Please watch this important message from Superintendent Eimear O’Farrell, Ed.D. to our families https://vimeo.com/450191591, and her message to students here: https://vimeo.com/450191661.
The 2020-21 school year has begun and more than 42,000 students and their families joined our staff of close to 6,000 in launching this most unusual of years off to a great start. Like any journey through uncharted territory, it wasn’t perfect, but our planning and preparation allowed us to be ready to quickly address challenges as they came up and identify solutions to ensure our students are engaged in learning and ready for success.
A few reminders for families:
- Attached is a Parent Bulletin full of resources and tips for families centered around the technology and tools of online learning.
- While “tech support” now feels like it’s part of everyone’s job, our entire team of trained technology specialists are staffing our Tech Help Line at 559-327-9595. In addition to the online resources accessible 24-7 at cusd.com, our Tech Hotline can assist with computer and internet connectivity issues and other device questions. The team is hard at work rapidly responding to calls and appreciates your patience as hold times might be longer than average due to a high volume of calls as school gets underway.
- To date, close to 20,000 computer devices and thousands of hot spots have been delivered through our schools to families who requested them. More hot spots are arriving often and if you have requested a hot spot but not yet been contacted by your school about a delivery schedule you can call your child’s school office for an update.
