Clovis Unified School District News Article

During their meeting on February 16, 2022, the Clovis Unified School District Governing Board approved letters to be sent to members of the California Legislature regarding Senate Bills 866 and 871. The letters are in opposition of both Senate Bills, urging parent inclusion in COVID-19 vaccination decisions for children ages 12 and older (SB 866) as well as the continued option of medical and personal belief exemptions for the COVID-19 vaccine. An additional bill aimed at mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for all California employees and contractors (AB1993) was also opposed by members of the Governing Board. The letters, along with a list of those who received them, are downloadable below.

In April, both SB871 and AB1993 were shelved by their authors. To stay informed on the status of these bills, visit https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/..
