What is Self-Care?
Self-care is the practice of taking an active role in protecting one's own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress. It is an important part of a person's mental health, and according to the National Institute of Mental Illness (NAMI), consists of six elements:
- Physical
- Psychological
- Emotional
- Spiritual
- Social
- Professional
