Direct Contracting for Imaging Services

Clovis Unified School District is contracted directly with RadNet & CMI Radiology Group to provide our benefitted employees, their covered dependents, and retirees with a discount on imaging services.

While there is no change to the Plan’s existing list of in-network imaging providers, participating Radnet & CMI Radiology Group locations (see below) allow members to receive imaging services at no cost while offering discounted savings directly to the Health Plan.

FAQs

    • All benefitted employees will utilize their main insurance card when utilizing a Direct Contract facility; no separate card is required as of 9/1/25.
    • When using Direct Contract imaging providers, benefitted employees & their dependents will have their copays, deductibles, and pre-authorizations waived on the services received.

    • Yes – all existing Anthem Blue Cross PPO network providers are still available to utilize, but members will only receive the waived copay, deductibles, and waived pre-authorization benefit when utilizing a Direct Contracted provider

    • If a member has dual coverage & CUSD does not serve as the primary insurance (e.g., Medicare or a dual-covered spouse with employer serving as primary), the member should continue to use primary coverage & present the main CUSD insurance card to be used as secondary coverage for imaging services
      • Providing the Direct Contracting ID card still provides members with the best overall cost savings to the Health Plan
