Superintendent Eimear O’Brien, Ed.D.’s message today focuses on encouraging students, timeline for a decision on possible extension of temporary suspension of on-site classes. Watch her message here:
In addition to Dr. O’Brien’s video message, a few other reminders for parents include:
- We recognize how frustrating it can be if your student needs technology support in accessing passwords or other distance learning options and our technology team is available to help. Check out https://www.cusd.com/TechnologyHelpforStudents.aspx for resources to stay on track with learning technology.
- Meal service is continuing, with bus deliveries available during the morning for families not able to visit one of our on-site locations between 11 a.m. and noon. Check out our website at cusd.com for a complete list of sites and delivery stops in the community. Meals will not be served during the regularly scheduled Spring Break.
- Keep watching for emails, push notifications and online updates from the district as we don’t want anyone to miss out on receiving important information during this temporary suspension.
- Messages from Superintendent O’Brien will be delivered to families Monday and Thursday of next week in advance of Spring Break, or more frequently if needed.
- Remember to send us your questions about classes or support services, or your suggestions for our Together, We’ve Got This emotional wellness series. The first videos in this series will be available online at cusd.com by the end of the week.
- Watch your mailbox this weekend for a special edition of CUSD Today with more helpful resources for parents in English and Spanish.
Thank you for encouraging our students when we aren’t able to see them in person ourselves. Give them a hug from us, let them know that their teachers want to hear from them. Even if they don’t have questions themselves, ask them to tune into that Zoom or Google Hangout hosted by their teacher so we can see their faces and hear how things are going at home.
And remember, we are a phone call away!
