Police Services 

Today’s parents expect a safe community for their children, as well as a safe learning environment at school. The Clovis Unified School District is proud to provide this environment for its students and employees with its own police department.

The CUSD Governing Board approved establishment of the District Police Department, shortly after legislation was enacted authorizing school districts to establish police departments in 1984. Clovis Unified is one of only 14 school districts with police departments in the state.

The CUSD Police Services department, comprised of sworn officers, is responsible for the personal safety of students, employees and the many guests who visit the schools or attend any of the events the District sponsors. CUSD has officers available between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The CUSD police take pride in being part of the “blue ribbon” system and serve with integrity and dedication while carrying out the District’s philosophy, mission and goals.
