Fall Classic 2026 @ Clovis West
Clovis Swim Club had 120 swimmers entered into the Fall Classic this year. It was a great star of a season for our USA Swimming Athletes. We hosted 7 other teams at this years meet with a total of 271 athletes entered in the meet. Technical difficulties persists with the equipment that was put in just a couple weeks ago, but we were able to get the races off the ground and provide a meet for all the athletes.
Through the first 3 meets of the year (including Block Party Meets) Clovis has 53 athletes who have achieved a qualifying time for the Age Group Championship Meet (This does not mean they are qualified for this meet, as some athletes may age to another age group prior to the Age Group Championship Meet). All of those athletes are listed at the end of this article.
Clovis Swim Club had 385 Swims at the meet with 216 Lifetime Best times. An improvement rate of 56%. That is a good improvement rate for a meet that has both age group and senior athletes (Senior Athletes do not get lifetime best times as often during the season, so if they attend a meet the improvement rate will be lower than a meet that we only have Pre-Senior, Sharks and Academy in attendance).
The 2026 – 2027 swim season has now begun, and our swimmers are all looking towards the February Championship Meets. Remember, Age Group Championship Time Standard is the National BB Time. They must compete at the age they are at the first day of the Swim Meet (February 5th). 8 and under Time Standards will be out soon. We are hoping to have our biggest 12 and under group this year at Age Group Championships. Look forward to a great season!
