Clovis Aquatics will be offering Summer League Swimming for those who are interested in participating in the sport of swimming this summer.
Summer League is a beginning level program for kids to learn some fundamentals and stroke mechanics from local swimmers and coaches.
Practices are Monday – Thursday Beginning the June 8th, 2026.
Kids must be water safe and be able to swim a length of freestyle and a length of backstroke without a coach or instructor in the water to participate (Tested on first days of practice).
We offer Swim Meets which includes a championship at the end of the season. (July 23 – 25)
Summer 2026 Important Dates
Summer League Begins: June 8th
Swim Meet Dates (Subject to Change): June 19th (@ Clovis West), July 2nd (@ Clovis East), July 10th (@ Clovis West), July 23rd – 25th (TBA)
Swim Suits and Swim Caps can be picked up Beginning May 18th from Elsmore Swim Shop on Blackstone south of Herndon in California Plaza. (Registration must have been approved to be on the roster for pickup).
Swim Meet Information:
- Swimmers will responsible to get to the block.
- We provide a staging area for all 25 races
- A swimmer can swim up to 3 events per swim meet.
- Swimmers ages 11 and over cannot participate in 25’s.
- Swimmers ages 6 and under cannot participate in 50’s.
- Swimmers ages 8 and under cannot participate in 100’s (when offered).
- There are no meet fees to participate in these meets.
- Awards will be handed out at a practice after the meet.
- Championship Meet awards will be available during the second half of the meet and after the meet.
- Awards not picked up at the Championship Meet can be picked up at the Sports and Recreational Office at 1690 David E Cook Way, Clovis, CA 93611. District Offices are not open Friday – Sunday during the Summer.
- Coaches will take backup times from the side of the pool, but we need parents to help with pushing buttons behind the blocks.
- Warm-up is only allowed in designated areas at swim meets. Siblings and parents who are not part of CUSD Summer League are not permitted in the pool during meets or practice.
Swim Meet Day Schedule (No Practice)
Warm-ups:
9 and Over Warm-up: 4:30pm – 5:05pm
8 and under Warm-up: 5:10pm – 5:25pm
Meet Begins at 5:30pm
Swim Meets will be 1.5 hours – 3.5 hours in length (We have kept meets to end by 8:00pm for most meets)
We need help from parents to press buttons behind the blocks. You won’t need to write times down, you won’t need to use the stopwatch or start the races. Just push the button when you see the swimmer touch the wall.
Championship Meet:
July 23: Girls Prelims
July 24: Boys Prelims
July 25: Girls and Boys Finals (Top 10 in each event in the following categories: 5-6; 7; 8; 9; 10; 11; 12; 13-16)
There are no qualifying times for the Championship Meet (all can participate)
Events:
5 – 10 years old 25’s of Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle
7 – 16 years old 50’s of Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Freestyle
9 – 16 years old 100 Freestyle and 100 Individual Medley
(New for this summer: Competition Age will be determined by the child’s age as of 06/08/26)
Participation:
Attendance is not Mandatory, but highly encouraged.
Swim Meets are optional (You will sign up for meets via the Captyn Website through your Account that you’ll need to sign in to register for the swim meet)
