After three negotiations meetings in April, two additional articles have been tenatively agreed to between the District and ACE Naturalists. These include Article 11 – Leaves and an additional as-yet-unnumbered article – Dues Deductions. Seven articles remain open, five of which are with the negotiations team for ACE Naturalists and two of which are with the District for response. Meetings have been scheduled for May 6, May 19 and May 23 to continue negotiations on the initial collective bargaining agreement.

April 2025

In March, ACE Naturalists and the District held two negotiations meetings to begin the process of developing an initial Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Following these meetings, eight articles have been tentatively agreed upon. These articles are: Negotiation Procedure, Association Rights, Management Rights, Health Benefits, Evaluations, Savings Clause, Personnel Files, and Professional Development.

Five articles remain open and meetings have been scheduled for April 11, April 21 and April 28 to continue negotiations.

February 2025

At the Governing Board’s Feb. 5 meeting, public hearings were scheduled to provide opportunity for public input on initial collective bargaining proposals of the District and ACE Naturalists. The hearings will be held Feb. 19 during the regularly scheduled board meeting at 1680 David E. Cook Way in Clovis and start no earlier than 6:45 p.m. Once the public hearings are held, mutually agreeable dates to begin negotiations will be selected.
