Certificated Teachers on Salary Schedule A have two opportunities each fiscal year to submit additional post baccalaureate units for salary placement consideration. Units must be submitted on official transcripts to Human Resources prior to the deadline. Salary range movement is limited to one time per fiscal year.
Fall deadline is September 1, before 5:00 p.m.
Spring deadline is February 1, before 5:00 p.m.
**If deadline falls on a weekend, then it moves to 5:00 p.m. on the following Monday.
If you have additional post baccalaureate units or a conferred degree to submit to HR, please send official transcripts to your Human Resources Specialist.

Fully Credentialed teachers have a 2-year probationary period and become permanent on the first day of their third year. Teachers must work 75% or more of the school year to complete a probationary year.
One year of service is defined as working in a contracted position for 50% or more of a school year.

All teaching experience must be verified by former employers. Teachers must submit a Verification of Experience Form to their HR Specialist authorizing outside agency's to release employment information. All verifications must be completed and signed by a previous employer.

First time teachers are responsible for completing a Certificate of First Year Medical exam. The form may be completed by a personal physician or MiCare Health Center for benefited employees. Completed medical exam forms may be submitted to the Human Resources Department..
The medical examination is only required of personnel employed in a certificated position for the first time in a California School District.
