First Aid CPR/AED External Training
Requirements for External First Aid CPR/AED Training
If the District does not have a new certification course available within a timeframe that a trainee needs, First Aid CPR/AED training must be sought from an outside agency. Please review the training requirements and suggested organizations below.
-
Please make sure that any training from an external agency meets the following CUSD requirements:
- The course covers all three core skills of First Aid, CPR, and AED for at least the Adult age group. If any of these core skills are missing, the certification cannot be accepted
- In-person, hands-on skills testing for all three core skills is completed by the organization’s certified instructor before a certification card is issued
- The course must meet OSHA training requirements in addition to all the requirements listed above. Most organizations will state this in the course description
Please note that while CUSD does not offer blended/hybrid learning options for new certification trainees, the District does accept blended/hybrid learning certification cards from outside organizations, as long as the course meets the requirements above.

Below is a list of agencies and course options that meet CUSD training standards. If a trainee would like to utilize a different organization, please reach out to CarlyRegehr@cusd.com for confirmation that the organization/course can be accepted.
