DELAC

The purpose of the DELAC is to advise the district on Multilingual English Learner services and programs. As an advisory group, the DELAC members have the following duties:

• Collaborate with the district on developing and modifying a Master Plan for Multilingual English Learner Services
• Conduct and review a district-wide Multilingual English Learner needs assessment by school
• Establishing district program goals and objectives for English Learner Services
• Collaborate with the district to review the annual language census
• Review and comment on the district’s reclassification procedures for English Learners
• Review and comment on the LCAP planThe primary goal of DELAC is to support the district in strengthening English language acquisition for English Learner students and promoting their academic success.
