VENDOR REQUIREMENTS

 

Information for vendors providing services at Clovis Unified School District events.

Vendors must meet all applicaple requirements before providing services at a District location. The District’s acceptance of vendor documentation does not constititue an endorsement or recommendation of the vendor.

 

 

FOOD VENDORS

Requirements

Before providing services at a Clovis Unified location, food vendors may be required to provide:

  • Current Certificate of Insurance meeting District requirements.
  • Required additional insured endorsement(s).
  • Current Fresno County health permit applicable to the vendor's operation.
  • Any other documentation required based on the type of service being provided.

General Guidelines

  • Approval/documentation should be completed before the event.
  • Approval for one event does not constitute approval for future events.
  • Insurance certificates and permits must remain current while providing services to the District.
  • Vendors are responsible for renewing expired documents.
  • Food vendors must comply with applicable federal, state, county and local requirements.
  • Vendors should work directly with the school/site sponsoring the event regarding dates, times, location, access, setup, electricity, parking, cleanup, etc.

PTC/Foundation Events: The same insurance and documentation requirements apply to vendors working with a school PTC or Foundation; however, event coordination and vendor agreements are handled directly by the sponsoring organization.

  • Commercial General Liability

    • Minimum per-occurrence limit: $1,000,000
    • Minimum aggregate limit: $2,000,000
    • Clovis Unified School District, its Board, officers, agents, employees and volunteers must be named as an additional insured.
    • A separate additional insured endorsement must accompany the Certificate of Insurance. A certificate stating that the District is an additional insured is not sufficient by itself.

    Automobile Liability

    • Required when a vehicle is used in connection with the vendor's services.

     

    Workers’ Compensation and Employers Liability Coverage

    • Statutory Limits (when applicable)

     

    Sample Certificate & Endorsement

  • Food vendors must maintain a current health permit issued by the appropriate regulatory agency. Vendors are responsible for ensuring that their permit authorizes the type of food service being provided at the District event.

    Vendors with expired permits will not be authorized to provide food services at District locations until current documentation has been received.
