First Aid CPR/AED Training for Aquatics

Unless required by the Aquatics and/or Sports and Recreation Departments to take the full Lifeguard Training Course, all trainees will go through Risk Management’s program for Adult First Aid CPR/AED. Some trainees who are overseeing aquatic sports will be required to take a Basic Water Safety Course.

If you are unsure what training you are required to complete, please contact Kacy Ota for further information.

  • Please return to the main First Aid CPR/AED Home Page for the link to submit a Training Worksheet to start the training process.

  • Online course prerequisite. On-Deck portion of the class must be attended to ensure proficiency in water-related rescues.

Contact Kacy Ota for more details.

  • All coaches must complete additional trainings for:

    • Concussion in Sports
    • Sudden Cardiac Arrest
    • Heat Illness Prevention

See our Additional Coaching Requirements page for more details on completing the training.
