Commitment to the Community

Founding Clovis Unified Superintendent Doc Buchanan used to say, “The schools belong to the people,” and our people are our community.
The success of the community is linked to the success of its public schools. You see this truth reflected in a healthy business community fueled by an educated workforce. It’s evident in housing prices, which have a direct correlation to the quality of local schools. And, you find it in overall safety and economic indicators as well.
Whether or not you have a child that attends one of our 50 campuses, the health of your local schools impacts your quality of life.  In the same way, successful schools are dependent upon our community. An involved community whose residents are engaged with their local schools is a healthy community. Please take a few minutes to read through the following pages. Through the snapshot, we focus on educators and students who are making a difference. You will also find some data to illustrate the return on your investment into Clovis Unified and your local schools.
Our schools and our community – working together we can and we are Inspiring Excellence!
