PAYDAY:
Employees are paid once per month on the last business day of the month. You can view the “next pay date” under the “Announcements” section in Employee Self Service (ESS). Please access ESS to confirm the established pay date.
EMPLOYEE SELF SERVICE:
ESS is a valuable resource that can enable you to quickly access your pay information from anywhere at any time! ESS allows you to access the following and much more:
View and print your current or previous pay stubs
View and print your current or previous W2s
View or change your W-4 tax withholding information (Federal)
View or change your DE4 tax withholding information (State)
View your sick leave hours and vacation hours (if applicable)
To log in, visit the ESS website and enter your 6-digit employee ID number as the username. Upon the first log in, you will use the last four digits of your SSN for the password and you will then be required to immediately set a new password.
PAY PERIOD FOR SUBS AND TIMESHEETS:
The pay period for Classified and Certificated Substitutes as well as employees who are paid by timesheets runs from the 6th to the 5th of the following month.
Example: Time worked 11/6 through 12/5 is paid on the 12/31 pay date.
PAY PERIOD FOR CONTRACTED PAY:
Regularly contracted employees have their annual salary prorated and are paid over the number of months they are contracted. Contracted pay is paid for the current month.
Example: Contracted hours worked 11/1 through 11/30
are paid on the 11/30 pay date.
DIRECT DEPOSIT / RAPID PAYCARD:
Direct Deposit or Rapid Pay Card are the two options in which an employee can receive their pay. With these options you will have access to your funds on payday. No more trips to the bank! Your paystub will only be emailed to your CUSD email account at least three days prior to payday as a PDF attachment. The password to open the paystub is the last four digits of your social security number. The password will remain the same and cannot be changed.
