What parents need to know…

What are the operating hours for ASES?

The ASES Program will commences immediately upon the conclusion of the regular school day and operates a minimum of 15 hours per week and at least until 6:00PM on ever regular school day.

Will ASES be following health and safety guidelines?

ASES will continue to comply to health and safety guidelines as directed by health officials.

How much does it cost to participate in ASES?

Participation in the program is at NO CHARGE to the family. According to AB1567, effective as of July 1, 2017, after school program priority enrollment to students are given to those that are identified by the program as homeless and foster youth. Students enrolled into program need to comply with the state guidelines of the program. Although, priority enrollment goes to Homeless, Foster Youth and students who qualifies for Free and Reduce Price Meals (FRPM), there are other target groups and criteria that may vary depending on the need of the school site and their community.

What is the attendance requirement?

To get the most out of their time in the program, students need to attend each day and stay for the entire program. Staff and students alike are negatively impacted by early departures. In order for all students to get the most out of the academic support, enrichment classes, leadership activities and other program offerings. Early release should be kept to a minimum. In the event that student do need to depart early from program, we do have an Early Release Policy set in place and may need documentations for frequent early release departure. Please see Site Coordinator for more information regarding our Early Release Policy.
