A: YES! No-cost meals are available for enrolled CUSD students under the statewide Universal Meals Program. California's Universal Meals Program (Universal Meals) builds on the foundations of the federal National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP).

A: BOTH! A nutritionally adequate breakfast and lunch is provided to all CUSD students during each school day under the federal National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP).

Q: Can I get a meal if I am not enrolled in CUSD?
A: NO. Campus Catering will provide no-cost meals ONLY to CUSD enrolled students who attend in-person classes on a CUSD campus for the 2023-2024 school year.
Q: Do you have drive-through or grab and go meal pick-up?
A: NO. Campus Catering will no longer offer drive-through or grab and go meal pickup for the community.
Q: Do I need to complete a household meal application to qualify for no cost meals?
A: Certain Clovis Unified School District schools participate in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) and are required to collect household meal applications to determine the amount of the district’s reimbursement for each meal served. The following schools fall under these federal guidelines: Alta Sierra, Buchanan, Bud Rank, Cedarwood, Century, Clovis High, Clovis North, Clovis West, Copper Hills, Dry Creek, Fort Washington, Freedom, Fugman, Garfield, Granite Ridge, Liberty, Maple Creek, Oraze, Reagan, Red Bank, Riverview, Valley Oak, Woods, Young. The remaining Clovis Unified School District schools participate in the NSLP and SBP Federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. CEP schools are NOT collecting household meal applications but instead collect educational benefit survey. The following Clovis Unified School District schools are participating in CEP: Boris, Clark, CCDS Elementary, CCDS Secondary, Clovis East, Clovis Elementary, Cole, Fancher Creek, Gateway, Gettysburg, Jefferson, Kastner, Lincoln, Mickey Cox, Miramonte, Mountain View, Nelson, Pinedale, Reyburn, Sierra Vista, Tarpey, Temperance-Kutner, Weldon.
Q: What is the difference between household meal applications and the educational benefit survey?
A: The purpose of the household meal application is to certify a student’s eligibility for free or reduced-price meals or free milk benefits. Federal regulations require schools to operate standard meal counting and collection procedures in the School Nutrition Programs to collect household meal applications.
The purpose of the educational benefit survey is to identify that a student’s household meets the income eligibility criteria so that they may be included in the district’s unduplicated pupil count used to determine supplemental and concentration grants under Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Educational benefit surveys were developed to be used for LCFF purposes in instances when schools do not need to collect meal applications (e.g., schools operating Community Eligibility Provision).
Q: Are there other benefits for my family if I complete these forms and qualify?
A: Yes! The completion of household meal applications or educational benefit surveys may bring significant additional funds to the school site, as well as qualify students for individual benefits such as college application waivers, Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) testing fee waivers, Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) benefits, and discounted high-speed internet as part of the Affordable Connectivity Program.
