Dual Enrollment Opportunities for CUSD High School Students

Concurrent Enrollment - Enrichment

Available each semester during Sophomore, Junior and Senior year.
In this program students may take one or two courses after school hours to work towards their AA or credits for their 4-Year college application. Students may have the ability to take a class during the school day if student has achieved the highest level of work in the subject offered at their high school (usually Mathematics).

Summer Scholars Advanced College Academy

Available each summer for rising Juniors and Seniors (rising sophomores with additional criteria).
One or two courses each summer through Clovis Community College.
In this program students receive college credit (3-5) and 5 credits or “elective credit” on the high school transcript for summer school upon completion and turning in a CCC transcript to their school site.

Clovis Community College Advantage Program

In this program designed only for Seniors and limited to 20 students per comprehensive high school, students take a total of four college courses for Dual Enrollment (Dual Credit)- college credit and high school credit.
Courses offered- History 1 or 2, Art 2, Psychology 2 and Sociology 1A which are all transferable to CSU, UC. Two courses each semester for the total of four.

Dual Enrollment (DE) - Community College and CSU Fresno

In this program students who are taking specified CUSD courses also enroll in a college course aligned with that course to receive Dual Enrollment credit (college and high school).

Community College- Clovis Community, Fresno Community, Reedley College. Mostly CTE courses + English 1A for seniors. During 2022-2023 school year there were 24 courses at the various school sites. Free to all students enrolled.

4-Year College- CSU Fresno (AKA Uni-Track)- Many more traditionally “academic” course options open depending on teacher at the school submitting an application. During 2022-2023 school year there were 20 courses at the various sites. Low cost and grade given by CUSD teacher. Contact your high school counselor for a list of all Dual Enrollment courses available.
