Congratulations to Michael Sandoval, the School Plant Supervisor at Dry Creek Elementary.  Michael has been named a CUSD Crystal Award winner for the 2018 school year.  Michael has been the Plant Manager at Dry Creek Elementary for the past three years.  Prior to Michael moving over to Dry Creek, he had been the School Plant Manager at Tarpey Elementary for over a decade.  Not only is Michael one of this year’s Crystal Award winners, he has also been nominated as a possible candidate for Fresno County Classified Educator of the Year.

Manager's Moment

It is hard to believe that we are already at the halfway mark for the 2018-2019 school year.  The first semester has flown right by as we were all busy taking care of our staffs and students.  From the first day of school to both Fall and Winter sports, this school year has been a busy one.  All of our Elementary sites experienced one of our best openings to date.  As our Superintendent, Dr. Eimear O’Farrell, along with our Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Don Ulrich have been out visiting all of our sites, they have had nothing but positive compliments, echoing how awesome our schools look.  From our classrooms to our play fields and the flowerbeds that surround our buildings, they have been very impressed with the appearance of each and every one of our Elementary School sites.  I want to say a big ‘Thank You’ to all of the Elementary Division’s Custodial staff, I truly appreciate all of your hard work and your dedication to your school sites.  You are truly the best of the best!
